Boys Showcase Camp
The US Collegiate Development Camp at Dartmouth College is available for boys age 14 to 19 of all ability levels who are committed to continually learning the game of rugby.
Players will be organized based on year in the high school to university pathway:
- High School Acceleration: campers with 2+ years of high school left (rising freshmen, sophomores, juniors)
- Advanced College Planning: campers with 1 year of high school left (rising seniors just finished junior year)
- Collegiate Maximizer: campers going into or who just completed 1 year of university (graduating HS seniors, current collegiate freshmen)
Players will have a chance to meet and work with coaches from the top academic and rugby US universities, as well as staff from the High School, Junior, and Collegiate All-American teams. Please see our list of attending coaches.
US Collegiate Development promotes a learning environment built on fundamentals, tactical / strategic understanding; leadership through action and clarity, all formed on a high work-rate foundation. This camp includes rugby skill assessment, rugby instruction in the core rugby skill and decision-making areas, feedback and plan creation to improve on skill assessment post-camp, seminars in nutrition, sports science, and recovery.
Evening academic workshops to include College Planning, 4-year High School Plan, Application and Essay Building, Time Management, Organization Skills, Social Media Do’s and Don’ts, Note Taking, Find out Your Learning Style, How to talk to Coaches/Admissions Counselors.
As importantly, each athlete will have an opportunity to work with top collegiate coaches and to meet 1 on 1 to help determine the right university for you and your family. Click here for camp schedule and additional camp information.
The camp runs from 1pm Sunday, June 28 to 11am Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Top-Up skill clinics are available before and after the Showcase Camp. The camp is Monday to Thursday to accommodate the RAST Tournament athletes (US HSAA Regional All-Star Tournaments) who will be arriving Sunday evening / Monday morning or who have to depart for their RAST by Thursday afternoon.
This camp is primarily designed as an overnight experience with evening workshops. There is a commuter option available from 8am to 5pm daily that does not include breakfast or dinner. Click here for more camp information.

Lineout Clinic with Arkansas State's Matt Huckaby and Dartmouth's Gavin Hickie--former & current Collegiate All-Americans forwards coach.
Sunday, June 28, 8am to 12pm @ Dartmouth College. Includes lunch.
Ruck and contact point skill clinic with Life Director of Rugby (and former forwards & contact coach of US Eagles), Dan Payne, and former US 7s head coach, Alex Magleby.
Wednesday, July 1, 12pm to 4pm @ Dartmouth College. Includes lunch.
Pre or Post Camp Additional Night Stay
Campers needing an additional day to arrive or to leave camp should select this option for Sunday evening June 22 or Thursday evening June 26.
Dinner (6/27) and Breakfast (6/28) are included with the June 22 additional night. Lunch (7/1), Dinner (7/1) and Breakfast (7/1) are included with the June 26 additional night.
Our general overnight and supervision policy is the same as the showcase camp for these extra nights.
